Christopher Cunningham is an artist whose work spans photography, drawing, sculpture, fine art fabrication, independent publishing, and open source software.
Cunningham's photographic practice and his production work have developed alongside each other over the past fifteen years. He has collaborated with artists, galleries, collectors, and institutions on digital capture, retouching, printing, custom mounting, framing, and installation. Current clients include Christie's, private collectors, galleries, and institutions.
From 2018 to 2024, Cunningham founded and operated Loupe Print, a fine art printing and framing studio in Chicago. He co-founded Contango, an independent journal of art and critical writing active in Chicago from 2016 to 2020.
Cunningham holds a BFA in Photojournalism from Corcoran College of Art + Design. He apprenticed under Frank DiPerna and David Adamson in digital printing and under Bill Butler of Archival Art Services in conservation framing.
